Lakeside Community Lutheran Church began In the early 1960’s when Ed and Cora Dybvig cleared property they owned on Fish Lake and created an outdoor space for worship. Pastors from the surrounding area conducted services which immediately became popular with summer visitors and year-round residents.
It soon became apparent that a permanent church was needed in the area. In 1982, services were moved to the A&H Senior Center for year -round Sunday services. In 1983, a constitution was adopted, and Lakeside Community Lutheran Church was incorporated as a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. In 1986, two adjacent lots were purchased on Crescent Lake, ground broken, and a new church was built. The first service was held on Christmas Eve, 1986.
Lakeside Community Lutheran Church is a welcoming, accepting,, energetic congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) where people can find spiritual connection to God, find community, and grow in their faith.
