Our Food Pantry Donates to Domestic Abuse Shelter

There hasn’t been a demand from the Food Pantry this winter so WELCA has taken two trips during the last months to a domestic safe house and provided them with some of the donations that you generously gave.  The director of the shelter was very appreciative and assured us that they could use the donations for adults as well as children.  Thank you to Mick Peterson for bringing donations into the church during the pandemic each day when the church office is closed. And thank you to Jolyne & Charley Peterson for delivering the food to the shelter.  * Photo is of Charley & Jolyne Peterson loading up to make a delivery to the domestic abuse shelter. Lakeside Gives Back

Lakeside Gives Back to the community. Read about it. The Burnett County Sentinel got the names and amount correct, but the paper got the church name wrong.

SERVE OUR COMMUNITY

We all know life has changed for all of us with the Covid-19 virus. Many people do not want to leave their homes and this is how it should be to contain this very contagious virus.  There are necessities that people need and we have volunteers that are willing to pick up any supplies you need if you wish not to go out.  Please call the church office at 715-635-7791 and leave a message if you would like someone to get groceries, medicine etc.  If you would like to volunteer to be a driver, please email Marsha in the church office and let her know at AandHlclc@gmail.com.  This is available to anyone in our community, not just church members.

With school being cancelled indefinitely and many people being out of work, there is a need at our food shelf.  We are asking for kid friendly food.  This could be peanut butter, jelly, kid friendly vegetables, soups, crackers, canned fruit, juices, cereal , granola bars  etc.  We cannot accept perishable items. I know at this time we are trying to remain at home but if you do go to the grocery store and feel like adding a few things for the Outreach food shelf it would be much appreciated.  There will be a large garbage can container in the bell tower to place your donations.  This will be emptied every evening to keep the critters away.

For donations checks can also be mailed to the church. Lakeside Lutheran Church 28626 County Road H Webster, Wisconsin  54893
